Cafe Evergreen

After not eating here for years (I moved away, but had a chance to visit) it was just as delicious as I remembered. I LOVE the cashew chicken. Honestly, if I still lived there, it would be my go-to every time.

My favorite classic Chinese spot on the UES. All the classic Chinese dishes are good. Delivery is good. Prices are a little high but Id rather pay a few extra bucks for high quality grub.

I have been going to & ordering from Evergreen since the early 90s. On my lunch hour I would sit at the bar to eat or order to go + they were always very nice + gave me iced tea while I waited for the food. Everything I have tried & my friends have tried over the years has been excellent. The entire staff is very friendly & Evergreen is very child friendly. Children love to sit at the tables near the fish tank (I haven't been to the new place yet, but I hope they kept the tank). I've been to a few of their Chinese New Years dinners & they are a lot of fun &, of course, a great deal on a lot of food. If you live within ten blocks, Evergreen always delivers in 15-20 minutes, even in bad weather.

Cafe Evergreen has been my go to Chinese restaurant for many years. The food is always good and they adjust my order to be either not too spicy or extra sauce, etc.
I've eaten at their restaurant and it is immaculate inside. The owners and staff are very friendly and always wanting to accommodate. The crispy prawns with walnuts in a mayo/cream sauce is just as tasty as the very high end designer Chinese restaurants in the city. All the appetizers are delicious as the entrees.

We always have an excellent experience with Evergreen. The restaurant is wonderful and the food is among the best Chinese in all of New York. The dim sum menu, which they offer during weekends, is amazing (some dim sum offerings are on the regular menu, too). Evergreen is our favorite Chinese restaurant! We highly recommend for delivery as well as for eating at the restaurant, which is well-decorated. The staff are very friendly, too.

The food was great! I used to live near Chinatown where I always got great Chinese food from a favorite place. The wonton soup is perfect: thin dumpling skin w/ super flavor & nice baby bok choy; bf loved hot & sour soup; seared pork dumplings delish; and chicken w/ snow peas and shrooms great, but could have a bit more sauce. I highly recommend! Delivery was on time.

Authentic Cantonese food . If you crave dim sum but dont want to schlep to Chinatown, his is the place to go. Service is always great and we dine in and order take out often. My children love the salt and pepper pork chops, bok Choy, mushroom noodles, and chicken lettuce cups. My husband and I like the fish with black bean sauce. Very consistent food.
